Curiosity’s Seven Minutes of Terror – #NASA #Curiosity #Mars #Space

On August 5th 2012 at 10:31pm PDT NASA’s Curiosity Rover will touch down on the red planet we call Mars.

Take a look at this brilliant video which highlights some of the amazing things this rover must go through in order to land.

From 500k lines of programming code to the science behind the landing and slowing process this video will give you an idea of what NASA call the ‘7 Minutes of Terror’.

I hope this new rover will bring proper images of Mars and proper video too, and wouldn’t it be great if there was an on board camera that would capture the approach landing.
