Flashback Gets Re-Imagined By Ubisoft – #Gaming #FlashbackHD #Reboot

Flashback, released as Flashback: The Quest for Identity in the United States, is a 1992 science fiction cinematic platform game developed by Delphine Software of France and published by U.S. Gold in United States and Europe, and Sunsoft in Japan.

This game became a huge hit and no more so than on the SEGA MegaDrive, this is one of my all time favorite games back in the day with hours lost to it.

Ubisoft have just today released the reveal trailer for what they are calling a re-imagined game by the original core team

20 years after the original game’s launch, Conrad is enlisted back to active service for the triumphant return of one of the most acclaimed franchises in gaming history.
It’s not a reboot. It’s Flashback re-imagined. The original Core-Team revamped their own creation, leveraging the best of today’s technology while remaining true to the classic side-scroller that set the standards of the genre in the 90’s.

The trailer looks pretty cool but I cant help but feel some of the class of the original seems to be lost.
