Alibaba and Amos OS Take On Google In China – #China #Amos #Alibaba

_67035500_amosAlibaba is China’s biggest e-commerce company and they have begun a campaign to take on Google’s Android OS by setting aside to support app developers and is offering monthly payments to handset makers for every phone using its platform they sell.

China recently warned that it was too dependent on Google’s Android, and Google has not played fair either in China reportedly blocking Acer from using Amos OS.  Acer had to cancel an event last September due to Google threatening to terminate product co-operation if the event took place.

Alibaba has now announced that five other companies are to begin selling handsets using its OS, which has now been re-branded Amos (Alibaba Mobile Operating System).
